I’m so glad to see you here. Let me tell you a little about myself and The Little Breathing Space.
Life is full on these days and we all seem to get caught up in our to-do lists. And in the background the constant pinging of our devices demanding our attention. The Little Breathing Space was born to support people to have more mindfulness in their daily lives. Not just on the meditation cushion. It might be a few minutes in the bath. A big life-changing trip or a small trip to a big bubble bath. Whatever it is, it’s all good.
And the reward for mindfulness in your life? Calmness, compassion, connection and greater happiness.
The Little Breathing Space is where I share thoughts and programmes that involves inspiring and supporting you to thriving in your life. If you can develop greater self-awareness and compassion you will find it easier to manage stress, anxiety, other difficult emotions, and physical pain or ill-health.
I am a mother of a wonderful 21-year-old son and have faced many of challenges that come with juggling a career a family and living in 24/7 demanding world.
I spent a lot of time trying to please a lot of people and yet often still end up simply feeling anxious, guilty, inadequate, tired and sometimes overwhelmed with life. I fell into a pattern of work, eat and sleep. I was unclear about what truly mattered to me and I simply lived on auto-pilot, my self-awareness dialed way down.
A job crisis woke me up. I became aware that to start to really thrive in my life I needed to slow down. I needed to take responsibility for my choices and actions in life, rather than feeling like a victim to my life. I needed to learn how to say no to those things and people that didn’t align to what brings joy, meaning, and purpose to my life. I needed to find some self-compassion and practice self-care
I found the courage to face up to my debt and the toxic dating, to set new boundaries for myself. No more auto-pilot. By practicing forgiving myself. By practicing loving and caring for myself I began to set myself free to start a new chapter in my life.
I retrained in mindfulness with Breathworks and then became iRest Yoga Nidra teacher, compassion focused therapist and breath as medicine coach. On that journey, I became very aware of how small mindful moments scattered throughout the day really helped me even if I didn’t feel like meditating.
My passion is inspiring and supporting people to creatively respond, rather than react, to life’s challenges. I help them cultivate greater self-love so they can live a life that is awake, alive and aligned with what truly matters to them.
